Cabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich questioned PRO presidential hopeful Mauricio Macri who said he embraced peronist banners, after closing a political alliance with Federal Peronism Senator Carlos Reutemann. The Kirchnerite official ironically offered to give Macri “a little lesson on (peronist) doctrine.”
Capitanich highlighted “political sovereignty, economic independence and social justice” as the main Peronist banners. “(Macri) should know that there is no political sovereignty without economic independence,” he fired in his daily press briefing at the government house. “He claims he will raise the Peronist banners by paying vulture funds.”
“Here is a banner he should learn about: political sovereignty. The other one is economic independence,” Capitanich added and he condemned Macri for not supporting the nationalization of YPF energy company and AFJP private pension funds in the past.
He went on explaining that “in order to be a Peronist you need to defend the banners by taking strategic decisions.”
“There is no political sovereignty without economic independence and there is no economic independence without strategic decisions,” the chief of ministers said. “It is not enough to proclaim the principles, you have to put them into practice.”
