The informal rate of the US currency, the so called «blue» dollar, climbed three cents to close at 13.14 pesos today.
The blue chip sawap rate traded four cents higher at 11.78 pesos, and the stock exchange rate increased one cents to close at 11.89 pesos.
Meanwhile, the US dollar advanced half a cent and closed at 8.735 pesos in Buenos Aires banks and foreign exchange offices. The official rate climbed a cent yesterday, and accumulates a seven and a half cent hike this month.
Asked about the recent increase in the US dollar, head of the Central Bank Alejandro Vanoli today assured there will not be any shock peso devaluation.
«We will administrate the rates gradually, so that it [the dollar] goes behind peso deposits,» he told reporters, adding peso demand has increased during this month, and assuring there are enough dollars for imports.
