The so called “blue” dollar closed at 13.01 pesos after climbing nine cents in the first trading session of the week, with the gap between the informal and the official rates of the American currency breaking the barrier of 50 percent.
The blue-chip swap rate was falling nine cents to 11.87 pesos while the stock exchange rate was 12 cents down at 11.98 pesos.
Meanwhile, the US dollar jumped half a cent to 8.67 pesos for buyers and 8.72 for sellers in Buenos Aries City banks and foreign exchange offices.
