The informal rate of the US currency, the so called «blue» dollar, continued its downward trend today, falling three cents to close at 13.12 pesos.
The US dollar closed half a cent higher at 8.695 pesos in banks and foreign exchange agencies. The rate has added 1.5 cents since Monday.
Meanwhile, the blue chip swap rate dropped one cent and closed at 12.20 pesos, and the stock exchange rate lost 12 cents to close at 12.30 pesos.
Yesterday, the Central Bank intervened in the market by selling 40 million dollars, reaching 150 million dollars sold since the beginning of the business week.
Today the CB’s reserves were increased by 5 million dollars to reach 31,313 million dollars.
