‘Blue’ dollar drops 15 cents to 13.60 pesos

The so called “blue” dollar closed 15 cents down at 13.60 pesos, while the official rate of the US currency ended half a cent up at 8.65 pesos in Buenos Aires City banks and foreign exchange offices.

The gap between both rates is at around 57 percent.

Meanwhile, the blue-chip swap rate was down by a cents at 12.30 pesos, and the stock exchange rate climbed three cents to 12.52 pesos.

In an attempt to prevent further hikes, the Central Bank bought 20 million dollars today, as it did on Wednesday.
