He was the last person to see late Prosecutor Alberto Nisman on January 17 and was being investigated as he is the person who gave Nisman the Bersa 22 calibre pistol that killed him.
Today Prosecutor Viviana Fein confirmed Diego Lagomarsino has been formally accused for lending the gun to a person without a permit to handle it, an action which is considered a crime according to the Argentine Penal Code and is penalised with one to six years in prison.
According to the statement released this afteroon, Fein is «evaluating collected evidence and testimonies to establish the scope of the indiction.»
The statement added investigators had already begun analysing video records from security cameras placed at the Le Parc building where special prosecutor Nisman was found dead last week.
