State prosecutor investigating the death of Alberto Nisman, Viviana Fein, has ordered new forensic analysis on the gun triggered at the AMIA special prosecutor’s apartment on Sunday. She will also hear testimony from the Le Parc tower building manager.
A second round of tests will be carried out on the .22 caliber firearm that, according to Fein, Nisman might have used to kill himself. The first results showed no traces of gunpowder on Nisman’s hands but Fein explained that “since the amount (of gunpowder in this type of weapons) for an electronic sweep test is so small, the test may not give a positive result.”
The experts will now test firing the gun by a test subject in order to check if they can find gunpowder on his hands this time.
The Prosecution will also analyse the security footages by the Le Parc building security cameras as well as Nisman’s phone records for the five days prior to his death.
Fein has heard testimony from Nisman’s bodyguards yesterday and today she will hear testimony from the deceased prosecutor’s colleagues at the AMIA special unit.
She explained that she has no intention of summoning Security Secretary Berni to testify for arriving before her at Nisman’s apartment on the day of the death. “I will not summon him because it is non of my business,” Fein stated.
