Fein orders raid on Nisman’s offices

Prosecutor investigating the death of AMIA special prosecutor Alberto Nisman, Viviana Fein, ordered a raid on Nisman’s offices located on Hipólito Yrigoyen Street in downtown Buenos Aires City.

The decision was taken earlier today following a meeting between Fein and judge Fabiana Palmaghini, in charge of Nisman’s death case, while forensic analysis on Nisman’s body continued in La Plata City.

The Prosecution is hearing testimony from Nisman’s bodyguards today as part of the ongoing investigation

Security Secretary Sergio Berni explained that Nisman had 10 security guards, agents from the Federal Police forces, for his personal safety. Some of them worked 24 hours a day since 2007. “The men were completely trustworthy,” Berni said.

Fein plans to call Nisman’s daughters and ex wife for testimony as well.

Fein has recently heard testimony of some of the guards, who explained how Nisman’s body was found on his bathroom’s floor around 1am yesterday.
