As several neighbourhoods in Buenos Aires City were left without power yesterday amid a heatwave, Cabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich aimed at power companies today, saying they are the ones “to give explanations.”
“They should complain to the companies and the companies should answer and give explanations,” the official said when asked about the outages in his daily press briefing at government house.
“It is not for the government to comment, is for the companies to give explanations,” he insisted.
Capitanich stressed that in 2014 the federal government has boosted its infrastructure investments in order to prevent power failures in the warmest months of the year. “The service has been substantially improved,” he stated.
