The law which establishes obligatory schooling from the age of four onwards has been put into effect by the national government, officially implementing a bill which Education minister Alberto Sileoni dubbed a «fundamental step» towards a better education system.
«With this law Argentine society has taken a fundamental step towards the building of a fairer, better and more equal education system,» Sileoni affirmed today.
«In the last decade we have gone from 10 to 14 years of compulsory education and 306,000 children have been added to the first grade across the country.
