Cristina urges candidates to define human rights policies

President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner led a political rally in Morón, Buenos Aires province, where she inaugurated a public Hospital and urged possible presidential candidates in 2015 to define their policies for the upcoming elections.
Fernández de Kirchner sent a clear message to those who seek to succed her in the presidency, and asked candidates from the entire political spectrum to unveil their policies, specially the one linked with human rights.

“I don’t care that much over foolish statements, as I do with compliant silences. I want clear pronouncements regarding the human rights issue by the men and women who want to govern the country,” she said, referring to Buenos Aires City Mayor Mauricio Macri’s vow to stop people who allegedly benefit financially from actions related to the sector.

“It’s a moral, political, democratic and institutional obligation to say what the next government’s human rights policy will be,” the head of state added.

According to Mrs. Kirchner, it’s a state policy which helped the country become “respected worldwide”.
