‘Blue’ dollar falls 10 cents to 13 pesos

The informal rate of the US currency traded ten cents lower at 13.00 pesos today, following an earlier 15-cent plunge that set it below the 13-peso mark, its lowest value since November 10.

Meanwhile, the US dollar advanced one cent to close at 8.555 pesos in Buenos Aires City banks and foreign exchange offices.

The gap between the «blue» and the official rate is set around 52 percent.

The blue-chip swap rate went up one cent to close at 11.91 pesos, after yesterday’s 37-cent drop led by the plummeting of Argentine shares in Wall Street.

The stock exchange rate fell seven cents to close at 11.93 pesos.
