Cabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich has announced three measures for the agricultural sector: the distribution of funds to activate the forest law, the authorization to export 1.5 million tons of wheat and 8 million tons of corn, and a regulation for the production of aquatic vegetal and animals.
Capitanich made the announcements in the Bicentennial Women’s Room together with Labor Minister Carlos Tomada, Agricultural Minister Carlos Casamiquela and the Secretary to the Presidency Oscar Parrilli.
The three initiatives have been sent to Congress for their approval, under the request of President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, who remains in the Otamendi private clinic for her diagnosed sigmoiditis.
Capitanich stressed the importance of the authorization to export grains, as it will “allow the entrance of foreign currency in the country.”
