Kicillof: ‘After all the trouble with dollars, here you have them’

Accompanied by Cabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich and Transport Minister Florencio Randazzo, Economy Minister Axel Kicillof inaugurated new formations of the Mitre railway line, during an official act in the district of Victoria, Buenos Aires province.

“Here you have the dollars,” Kicillof announced while referring to the Federal Government investment in railways.

“After all the trouble regarding the dollar issue, here they are, 230 million dollars,” he added.

A total of 20 new wagons will enter into circulation and become operative on November 25th, as part of the renewal of the Retiro-Tigre track. Capacity will be doubled while frequency will also be improved.

“The 120 wagons which make up 20 train formations equipped with the last technology, confirmed the government’s commitment for the renewal of the railway system in the country,” Randazzo remarked.

The event took place at the railway yards in Victoria, where Presidency Secretary Oscarl Parrilli joined the cabinet members for the official visit.
