Starting March 2015, temporary appartment rentals in Argentina will have to be registered at the AFIP tax bureau, according to a decision published in the official bulletin today.
The resolution creates an information record for temporary touristic rentals for periods between a day and six months. Those who “manage, act as intermediates or suppliers” of temporary furnished appartment rentals, including the owners, will have to comply with the new regime by registering the property in AFIP’s website.
Once a month, from the first to the 10th day of each month, they will have to log in into the website in order to report any rental operation within that period of time or to chose the “without activity” option if no rental was made.
Those who fail to comply with this new resolution will be sanctioned with fines and they could be disqualified, AFIP warned.
