After the Central Bank launched its largest operation in months against foreign exchange offices and stockbrokers, the blue-chip swap rate plunged 25 cents to 13.82 pesos, following yesterday’s 40-cent hike.
The exchange rate on the contrary, advanced 13 cents to 13.77 pesos.
In the meantime, the so called “blue” dollar advanced two cents today to 14.70 pesos, after falling two cents yesterday amid ongoing fears of controls in the parallel market.
Meanwhile, the US dollar was up by a cent at 8.51 pesos in Buenos Aires City banks and foreign exchange offices.
