Economy Minister Axel Kicillof has received representatives of the so-called G6 group, which gathers some of the principal businessmen of the country, as part of his round of talks with local manufacturers.
Kicillof met with Gustavo Weiss (Construction Camera), Adelmo Gabbi (BA stock exchange), Jorge Brito (Macro Bank), Carlos de la Vega (Commerce Camera) y Héctor Méndez (Argentine Industrial Union).
Argentine Rural Society (SRA) head Luis Etchevehere rejected the invite “as a sign of protest with the government’s agro-industrial policies.”
The meeting was held at the Economy Ministry and was not restricted to a specific subject. No further information was released after the talks, as Kicillof asked business representatives “not to say anything” about the meeting.
Yesterday, Kicillof met with the food and beverages business chamber (COPAL) and guaranteed them the government will “work together with the private sector to optimize production and boost the sector’s development.”
