President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner today asserted that she would only take decisions that benefitted the overall health and stability of the Argentine state, as she called on the country to defend the achievements of the last 10 years.
«We will adopt the most suitable measures, not for this government but rather for Argentina,» the head of state fired during her speech, as she claimed that outside interests wanted to see the country fail.
«Every time that Argentina has become viable, that is when the missiles and permanent bombardments begin,» CFK said, adding that despite the ongoing dispute against holdout investors «we are going to keep working as always.»
Ms. Kirchner headed an official ceremony in the Women’s Room at Government House to inaugurate infrastructure works for the Northern Pipeline. With an investment of 15,8 million pesos it will boost gas supply to Formosa, Chaco, Misiones and Corrientes provinces, Cabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich explained earlier today.
