Argentine economic activity fell 0.2 percent in May compared to the same month last year according to the Monthly Economic Activity Estimator (EMAE), published by state-run INDEC statistics bureau.
The figure is better than the expected by the market, as private analysts had forecasted a 1.3% fall for May.
This is the third consecutive month that registers a decrease in the EMAE.
Meanwhile, compared to April 2014, May experimented a 0.5% increase in economic activity.
