VP Amado Boudou files appeal against corruption indictment

The Vicepresident Amado Boudou has filed an appeal against his indictment in the Ciccone corruption probe as his lawyers had vowed weeks ago after Federal Judge Ariel Lijo accused him of alleged bribery and influence peddling.

The document presented to the Federal Court asks it to review Lijo’s ruling, stating that “the infringement of all guarantees and constitutional principles by the Judge is unacceptable”. Boudou said that is the reason why he decided to sign the appeal “in his own right”.
