The US dollar traded steady at Buenos Aires City banks and foreign exchange offices and closed at 8.15 pesos. In the meantime, the so called «blue» dollar climbed 5 cents to 12.05, pushed up by a stock exchange rate hike.
In the official market, grain exporters liquidated more dollars today, 150 millions were bought by the Central Bank in its biggest purchase this month. Operators criticised the monetary authority for delaying imports payments in order to make this purchase.
The Central Bank’s reserves went up breaking the 29 billion-dollar barrier, totalling 29,020 millions of dollars.
Meanwhile, the blue-chip swap exchange rate went up to 10.22 pesos, while the stock exchange rate climbed to 11.06 pesos.
