The teamster union lead by Pablo Moyano has rejected a 28 percent salary increase and announced “wildcat strikes” throughout the country during the next days, together with a 48-hour national strike in a date to be determined.
“We were offered just 1.5% more than last year. It’s an outrage,” Teamsters’ Union Associate Secretary Pablo Moyano, who demands a 40% salary rise for his sector, said.
An assembly today will decide if the national strike will be carried out next Thursday and Friday or the following Monday and Tuesday.
Negotiations between teamsters and corporate representatives worsened with yesterday’s unannounced cash transport strike.
