After the adverse US Court ruling in Argentina’s legal dispute with the so called vulture funds, Buenos Aires province Daniel Scioli called for “patriotism” and urged all sectors to line up behind the national government.
“This is a highly sensitive issue that calls for great patriotism and lining up […] behind the Argentinean strategy to solve this situation for good,” Scioli stated.
The Buenos Aires governor said the court ruling, released this morning, was not in line with the government’s expectations.
He pointed out Argentina’s will to “reindustrialise and pay its debts”, which he said the government has proved by reaching a deal with Repsol over YPF oil company and more recently with its Paris Club creditors.
