Capitanich visits flooded Northeast

Cabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich arrived in Posadas, Mendoza province, for a “direct supervision” of the regions affected by floods in Paraná River coastal area today and to coordinate assistance with local authorities.

The federal government deployed Federal Police and National Gendarmerie officials, and is delivering health-related assistance, providing anti-ophidian serum, Capitanich explained earlier in his daily press briefing at Government House.

“We will coordinate our efforts to see what can be done better to improve assitance delivery,” Capitanich said at his arrival in Posadas.

The federal delegation, headed by the Cabinet Chief and Security Secretary Sergio Berni, met with 12 city mayors in Corrientes province and then travelled away from the provincial capital to the coastal area “to evaluate the impact [of the floodings]”.
