Iguazú waterfalls re-open to public

The majority of Iguazú National Park tourist trails were re opened today, after a record 43,000 cubic metres of water per second thundering over the waterfalls caused leading officials to restrict access to visitors.

Interior Iguazú trails as well as the exterior circuit trails were re opened.

Tomorrow, President of the National Park administration Carlos Corvalán and Vice-president Daniel Ramos are expected to give a tour to tourists and media and show the recovery of the rides.

“Thanks to a coordinated work between the public and the private sector, we have been able to reestablish the most important attractions in Iguazú National Park in a record time,” said Corvalán.
