In his daily press briefing, Cabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich urged automobile companies to reduce their prices for a recovery in the sector. “It is very important for automotive terminals to reduce their prices in order to stimulate demand,” he said.
The Kirchnerite official praised the government’s efforts to deal with the crisis in the auto sector and called companies to contribute by reducing their prices and avoiding complementary financing often offered by parent companies.
He also showed confidence for an agreement with Brazil to be reached soon to boost auto parts production.
Capitanich said improvements in the auto sector are to be expected if certain conditions are met, including the deal with Brazilian authorities–the government’s responsibility- but also a price and financing costs reduction by automotive companies.
