Gov’t on Paris Club talks: ‘We can’t release information on strategy’

In his daily press briefing in Government House, Cabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich refused to release further details on the Cristina Fernández de Kirchner administration’s strategy in upcoming negotiations with Paris Club creditors.

«We cannot release information on any decision or strategy on the final negotiation,» Capitanich said and added: «Caution is needed in this state of the talks».

“The negotiation process requires the analysis of different form of payment,” he said and refused to give further details on Argentina’s stance.

The Cabinet chief did confirm that talks will begin on May 28.
