‘No intermediaries in the relationship between CFK and Pope Francis’

The relationship between President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and Pope Francis “is fluid and direct” with a “permanent dialogue and no intermediaries,” Religion Secretary Guillermo Oliveri told a radio today from Rome, where he yesterday attended the canonization ceremonies for John Paul II and John XXIII.

After the ceremony, Pope Francis asked the delegation: “How is Cristina?”

Oliveri was part of the Argentine delegation which travelled to Rome, headed by the Lower House chief Julián Domínguez, and also formed by Foreign Minister Héctor Timerman; PRO lawmaker Federico Pinedo and the Radical Party head Mario Barletta.

Oliveri explained today the Rome delegation members were specifically designated by the president and highlighted the ceremony was “very beautiful and massive.”
