Capitanich ironically praises UNEN ‘experience with hyperinflation, drug-trafficking, betrayal’

In today’s press briefing from the Government’s House, Chief Cabinet Jorge Capitanich made a very ironic reference to the launching of Frente Amplio UNEN. He its leaders are “very experienced” in hyperinflation, drug-trafficking scandals and political betrayal.

“They have a lot of experience to offer,” Capitanich said but far from praising the new anti-peronist front he quickly added: “Many of its leaders have experience with drug-trafficking because they have had several of his police agents as active members of drug gangs; with inflation because they have drove the country to hyperinflation or deep recession”

“They are very experienced in betraying political projects,” he said in further comments about the new front’s political figures. “As members of coalitions, the first thing they did was to break the coalition’s principles with political betrayal.”
