The US dollar closed steady in Buenos Aires City main foreign exchange offices and banks at 7.96 pesos for buyers and 8.01 pesos for sellers.
Greenbacks in the informal market bucked recent downward trends, reversing sharp losses at the start of the week by jumping 12 cents across the day. The ‘blue’ dollar was trading at 10.30 (buying price) and 10.40 (selling price).
Meanwhile, Central Bank carried out the biggest acquisition of US dollars in two years, by purchasing 350 million dollars.
