Fashion designer and model L’Wren Scott, the girlfriend of Mick Jagger since 2001, was found dead today at her New York City apartment, in what preliminary reports described as an alleged suicide.
49-year-old Scott was found hanged with a scarf at her Chelsea home. A police spokesperson indicated an emergency call was made from that address, reporting an unconscious woman.
The cause of designer’s death will be determined by the City’s forensics team.
Scott’s designs were widely admired by United States’ First Lady Michelle Obama and Australian actress Nicole Kidman, among others.
