Scioli speaks before the Council of the Americas during last week»s visit to New York, United States.
The governor of Buenos Aires province, Daniel Scioli, today highlighted the importance of charting a moderate position, by affirming that he was not a fan of neither populism nor liberalism.
Following a visit to New York, where in his own words Scioli met with «influential businessmen,» the governor called for an end to extremes, «neither populism nor liberalism.»
The politician also praised the steps being taken by Argentina to mend fences with foreign markets, a movement that «shows Argentina’s good will to normalise certain situations that previously could not take place, because other priorities in the internal market, social areas and employment were being attended.»
Scioli added that his time in the US gave him «the feeling not only of having done a great job in the province, but also having made a significant contribution for the nation’s current situation.»
He underlined that he had made more than 200 contacts with financial and related organisations, who would be interested in creating a new investment dynamic within Argentina.
