Broad Progressive Front leader Hermes Binner today held a meeting with union heavyweight Hugo Moyano, who suggested supporting Santa Fe’s former Governor for the 2015 presidential elections.
Following the meeting, leader of the General Workers’ Confederation (CGT) ‘Azopardo’ faction Moyano held a press conference where he stated that “We will put our trust in those who can guarantee us a change of the situation in our country.”
Meanwhile, Binner defined the summit as an “exchange of proposals,” regarding “an improvement in life quality,” and rejected having discussed political or electoral affairs.
Asked about a future alliance with Unen Front head Elisa Carrió, Binner avoided delivering an answer.
However Moyano added that “If it was up to Carrió, 98 percent of the Argentine people should be in prison,” and concluded by saying that there are “more important things to talk about.”
Over 60 unionist were present the meeting, including the ‘Azul y Blanca’ faction of the CGT, led by Luis Barrionuevo.
