The leadership of the Teamsters Union along with members of the FADEEAC business chamber were negotiating today a Christmas bonus at the Labour Ministry while demonstrators rallied in downtown Buenos Aires causing traffic chaos.
Teamsters headed by union secretaries Pablo Moyano and Marcelo Aparicio claim a bonus of 4,500 pesos and warned they will take a «nationwide action» if their demands are not met.
“This bonus is no gift but a basic need to minimally cover the continuing increase of the basic food basket,” Moyano told reporters.
Around 3,000 protesters were gathering at the 300 Callao Avenue near the national congress prompting traffic chaos and delays in the area.
