Victory Front’s Senator Aníbal Fernández today rejected lawmaker Elisa Carrió’s accusations against him after she said he was the “leader of narco-trafficking” in Argentina.
In statements to a local radio station, Fernández recalled he legally challenged Carrió “several times” and “she always defends herself in the same way, hiding behind her (lawmaker) privileges and saying she can say anything.”
“I presented a writ telling everything she says about me, some day I’ll have to score,” he said.
“When the investigation ends, I will look for her even under the bed, I’ll go for everything she says that she can’t afford and I will ask for her bankruptcy, I’ll do everything so that this lady once and for all ends with the insults hiding behind her privileges,” he shot.
He went on to deny differences inside the government regarding Vice-President Amado Boudou’s duties now President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner is in hospital recovering from a head surgery.
“I am part of Peronism and the Victory Front and I trust Boudou”, he said adding he hopes the president will “soon” return to her duties.
