Industrial output dropped 0.6 percent in August compared with the same month in 2012 and 1.5 percent compared to last month, the INDEC national statistics bureau informed today.
Manufacturing has accumulated 1.3 percent growth during the first eight months compared to the same period in 2012.
Drops were registered in the automobile industry (falling 9.7 percent compared to 2012) and metallurgical industry (2.9 percent), although these reductions were partially compensated by a growth in metalworks (18.1 percent).
