President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner was holding a meeting today with businessmen and union leaders, as part of the so called «social dialogue» which was launched by the head of state after the government’s electoral setback in August primaries.
This is the third meeting since these talks were called and was being held at the Government House.
The head of AFIP tax agency Ricardo Echegaray was announcing changes for the self-employed workers system.
He said the Government decided to increase the charge limits for self-employed workers by 100 percent and specified they will be raised from 200 thousand to 400 thousand pesos for the service sector, while they will grow from 300 thousand to 600 thousand pesos for real estate transactions.
According to Echegaray, these new limits will come into effect next month and will reach more than two million workers who are register in the self-employed system.
The head of Health Services, Liliana Korenfeld, announced the Government will guarantee a 6.5 billion pesos subsidy to the social welfare system during 2014.
Cristina will head later a rally at Tecnopolis fair to celebrate the Industry Day.
