Supermarket sales increase 16.5% in July, Indec says

SupermarketSupermarket sales increased 16.5 percent in July compared to the same month last year, according to the Indec national statistics bureau.

The report also stated that it has increased 0.9 percent against June. The sales totaled AR$ 10,871.8 billions with a 24 percent increase compared to the last year.

Supermarket prices climbed 1.28 percent in July and accumulated a 0.9 percent increase, despite price freezing agreement by the Government and the largest supermarket chains.
