No peace without dialogue, Pope Francis

Pope FrancisDuring a meeting with Japanese students at the Vatican, the Pope affirmed that no peace can be secured without dialogue. “All wars, all fights, all problems that are not solved and continue are due to lack of dialogue,” the head of the world’s 1.2 billion Catholics said.

News about the tragic events in Egypt or the sudden gas attack that has killed so far 200 people -many of them children- might not be going unnoticed for the ex Argentine cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio.

Addressing a group of students visiting the Holy See, Pope Francis said that the one and only solution to problems is dialogue. “When there is a problem, dialogue: this makes peace,” he said as he stressed the need for «mildness» among cultures. Listening to others and then talking, first listening and then talking, this is mildness,» the first Latin American pontiff in history added.
