Moyano doubts sincerity of CFK’s call for dialogue

MOYANOTeamsters union head Hugo Moyano doubts that he and his allies will be called to participate in the rounds of dialogue promised by president Cristina Kirchner, following a disappointing performance by the Victory Front in the primary elections.

«If she calls on us we will decide together what we will do. I do not know if she will call, because if she tries to make everyone agree with her she will not be calling on us,» the CGT leader asserted during a press conference held on Thursday.

Speaking as part of a lunch honouring the electoral campaign of secretary Guillermo Pereyra in Neuquén, Moyano underlined that the Victory Front’s defeat owed to poor treatment of workers.

«The millions of votes that the government lost are product of the worker failing to see answers to their complaints,» he underlined.

And the union chief also mocked the speech given by CFK the previous day, where she called on bank, business leaders and unions to express their criticisms in person.

«I told the boys that we have to make an effort to win in Antarctica,» he stated, referencing the president who announced on Wednesday that the Argentines resident on the frozen continent had voted for government candidates.
