It seems as if the dollar has no roof as it has risen more than 13 percent so far 2013, and was traded at 5.58 pesos for buyers today at banks and exchange offices in Buenos Aires City, one cent higher than its last close.
In the opposite direction, the informal foreign exchange market is closely monitored by the government which is allegedly pushing some traders to keep the “blue” dollar frozen. Yesterday, its rate remained steady at 8.60 for buyers.
