Rosario: Faulty valve responsible for explosion

Rosario explosionProsecutor Guillermo Camporini has confirmed that a faulty gas valve caused the explosion that left 21 dead in Rosario last week.

«We know that the defect was in the valve,» the man charged with investigating the deadly tragedy explained on Tuesday.
However, it hasn’t been proved yet whether the gas flow pressure at the building entrance provoked the incorrect closure of the valve and further explosion.
Camporini reaffirmed: “We still need to figure out, if there was an external problem that provoked the gas leak and explosion”.
Followed by the judge Juan Carlos Curto order, the National Gendarmerie officials carried out an inspection in the main offices of the Litoral Gas in San Lorenzo and Mitre, for the second time since the explosion on Salta street.
