Death toll in Rosario explosion climbs to 21, search called off

Rescue teamsAnother two bodies have been found under the rubble of the building that collapsed last week in downtown Rosario as result of the explosion caused by a gas leak, elevating the death toll to 21.

The individuals are belived to be 25 year old Santiago Laguía and Luisina Contribuale, 34, the last two people registered as missing following last Tuesday’s tragedy.

Their remains were taken to the Forensic Medical Institute, where authorities await further details in order to report the families and confirm both identities.

Last week’s tragedy left more than 60 people injured, 11 of them still hospitalized. Meanwhile, rescue workers could cancel the search.
