New Judge for Schoklender brothers case

SchoklenderFederal Judge, Marcelo Martínez de Giorgi has been designated to investigate the Schoklender brothers in a diversion of funds case, after Magistrate Norberto Oyarbide was forced to resign from the investigation by a Federal Chamber decision.

Judicial sources informed that Martinez de Giorgi already has in his power part of the documentation of the case.

Last week, Judges Eduardo Farah and Jorge Ballestero cancelled Oyarbide’s responsibility in the case, after considering that he took general imputations and did not state precisely the accusations against both Pablo and Sergio Schoklender, as well as the other people indicted.

Martinez de Giorgi was carrying on another investigation, also related to public funds, that supposedly were received by the Madres de Plaza de Mayo Foundation, as part of the “Shared Dreams” project.

The Judge requested General Auditor Leandro Despouy to determine the value and amount of the social housing constructed by the Foundation with public funds.
