President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner asked businessmen and workers to be «savvy and intelligent» in order to keep the level of economic activity and consumption and factories open.
The presidente was addressing businessmen at the reopening ceremony of the La Esperanza factory in the Jujuy province which employs 1,500 people.
“The State has been absent from the needs of workers and businessmen for the decades. Apparently, world leaders only cared about money”, the President said. «Us Argentines managed to recover the capability to consume, because we recovered the labour and hope that had been robbed for decades”.
President Fernández reaffirmed: “We need businessmen and workers to be savvy and intelligente”, and promised to «keep giving the best» she has and «help the country and the nation».
