Moreno advises ‘Vote right in October’ after court date

morenoGuillermo Moreno had few words as he left court following an appearance to answer accusations of abuse of power, limiting himself to tell the electorate to «Vote well in October» as he drove away.

The Domestic Trade Secretary appeared in court today as a federal judge ordered an abuse of power inquiry following fines the Domestic Trade Secretary applied to private-sector consulting agencies that publish inflation rates periodically.

The summons to court had been scheduled for today at noon. The official had confirmed earlier he would “naturally” attend the Comodoro Py courthouse where Federal Judge Claudio Bonadío has already started to inquiry him on the fines dispute.

Back in May, two courts ruled the economic sanctions that agencies where charged with for publishing inflation data that contradicts the government’s official information were “non-viable” alleging the reports incur in no trade crime.

It was then judge Bonadío who ordered Moreno’s inquiry that might end with the Kirchnerite official prosecuted.
