Pope Francis meets with Scioli, urges him to ‘fight against wild capitalism’

Pope FrancisThe new Pope had a meeting today with Buenos Aires governor Daniel Scioli, at the Santa Marta residence in the Vatican City.

“We should fight against wild capitalism and confront social injustice”, expressed the official in a press release.

Among others topics discussed, Francisco and Scioli talked about “a democracy with values, democratic coexistence, and even former lieutenant governor Alberto Balestrini’s health”.

Scioli offered Pope Francis a crucifix and a traditional Pampa belt as well.

Jokingly, the governor told him that a waitress in a local restaurant referred to his holiness as “the Messi of religion”, and considered that “the Pope is making history, he is a constant source of inspiration”.

Scioli’s wife Karina Rabolini was also present during the meeting.
