Randazzo: ‘No train unionist will blackmail me’

RandazzoInterior and Transport Minister Florencio Randazzo ratified the government’s strict position over the violent incidents at the Constitución train station yesterday: “No trade unionist will blackmail me,” the official warned.

In statements to media, Randazzo confirmed the Kircherite administration will file criminal charges against La Fraternidad union following the sudden strike that paralyzed all service lines leading 800,000 people to face gridlock and chaotic commutes.

“No trade unionist will blackmail me,” the Minister affirmed and ratify the decision to install surveillance cameras inside drivers’ cabins.

“We do not want to criminalize drivers but the installation of cameras is part of a program to improve the train system safety,” Randazzo explained as he considered Wednesday’s walkout “excessive and groundless.”

La Fraternidad launched an unexpected strike yesterday’s morning alleging to payment arrears in 13th month salaries. However, Randazzo rejected the union’s accusations saying that salaries were set to be paid on time and linking the action plan actually with the in-cabin video cameras project.
