The witness who said in the audio interview she’d heard the conversation between Ángeles, her mother and stepfather on the day of her murder was charged with perjury. Additionally, the witness confessed someone from the Government had offered her money for silencing the neighbours.
The woman testified before judge Javier Ríos and prosecutor María Paula Asaro on Monday, but after a series of contradictions was interrupted and notified she would be charged with perjury.
The witness became the part of the case after her audio interview to one journalist had reached the defence attorney Pablo Lanusse.
