‘We are ready to win in October,’ Stolbizer says

StolbizerNational lawmaker pre-candidates Margarita Stolbizer and Ricardo Alfonsín formally presented their Civic and Social Progressive Front (FPCyS) in the Buenos Aires province and targeted Tigre mayor Sergio Massa, for “not telling whether he’s with the ruling party or the opposition.”

The Radical and GEN leaders, supported by Santa Fe pre-candidates Hermes Binner and Mario Barletta, launched along their Buenos Aires province counterparts Jorge Ceballos, Juan Pedro Tunessi, Gerardo Milman, María Luisa Storani and Gabriela Troiano.

“This front is a response the society’s call for unity and we are an expression of the people’s will,” Stolbizer said in a press conference.

She referred to the three Peronist alternatives that her front will be competing with in the province and complained that “for a long time now, unresolved internal struggles of Peronism have been defined by an election.”

“Massa is now part of a long list of candidates of the party that governs the province. The first question was not whether he would run or not, but whether he would do it as a part of the Victory Front or not,” she explained.

“We are prepared to win the October elections. The conditions to do so have been set, so there we go,” she said.
